I’m Gemma and I’m a Yorkshire wedding photographer, newborn and family photographer based in Skipton near the Yorkshire Dales in North Yorkshire. I cover a lot of Yorkshire from IIkley, Harrogate, Settle and often venture over to West Yorkshire for Leeds weddings. Welcome to my little corner of the world. I’ve photographed weddings all over Yorkshire from beautiful barn weddings at East Riddlesden Hall and Bolton Abbey’s Tithe Barn to country weddings at the Falcon Manor and the Coniston Hotel in North Yorkshire. I’ve even been lucky enough to travel to Italy on a couple of occasions too. Where ever your wedding venue and wedding theme, I’m dedicate to capturing those real moments that will make your wedding day unique and put a frame around the memory forever.

I LOVE photographing wedding days
Every wedding is so different to photograph and it’s a privilege to get to know couples on their wedding journey. For me it’s all about capturing personality and the emotive story. I love to photograph everything that goes with a wedding from the bouquet and the wedding dress through to the crazy dance moves at the wedding reception, but the special bit is preserving the memories of the in-between moments. The stolen kisses and warm embraces. That trying not to cry face during the ceremony and the head in the hands moments during those best man speeches. So what I’m trying to say, is I capture the whole day, naturally and as it happens. Of course I’ll step in to set up the confetti shot, but ultimately I document your wedding day to tell your story as it unfolds.

I specialise in family lifestyle photography. Lifestyle family photography is not studio based, you will not be in a white room with flashes popping in your face while I shout SMILE! Instead I photograph your family bonds in a unstaged but aesthetic way in a setting of your choice. Going to the park with your children and photographing them playing allows me to capture personality not forced smiles in a studio.
