What was the wedding theme?

The theme was Halloween/autumn inspired

A Halloween themed wedding doesn’t have to be all about dark colour palettes and plastic spider coving the tables. It doesn’t have to be set in a gothic looking wedding venue or just be for the alternative bride and groom. A Halloween themed wedding can be created very tasteful and just as gorgeous as any other wedding. This Halloween/ autumn themed wedding is just as stunning as a summer wedding with autumnal colours and cute pumpkins and ghosty wedding favours giving that Halloween inspo.

What was the colour palette?

Mustard, deep red, forest green and vibrant orange. Simply Bow decorated the room beautifully adding forest green chair bows which matched the ceremony arch backdrop by Bloomin Lovely Occasions . The vibrant orange pampas detail tied in perfectly with the stunning wedding flowers create by Lottie Roberts.

Tell us about the table decorations.

The embroidered napkin company supplied bespoke named napkins in a rich mustard coloured which popped against their velvet red bow. I love the mini pumpkins and ghost wedding favours from York Ghost Merchants. Starchar wedding created personalised autumn themed wedding stationary.

What do you wear to a Halloween wedding?

A Halloween wedding doesn’t mean you have to wear black. In fact, you can still keep the tradition and wear white as the bride. Why not choose to enhance your look with a custom made bridal jacket and a statement piece crown to add a bit of gothic glam to your bridal look? Reloved have lots of different styled dresses that you’ll fall in love with.

How to create Halloween makeup?

Well it’s a wedding so Halloween makeup was of the cards, but Ellie created autumn peach tones and soft curls in the bride’s hairs. Adding a orange flowers to the plait detail and the amazing crown by Bunny Loves Evie.

Can a wedding cake be Halloween themed?

Whatever flavour you go for, you can have a lot of fun with a autumn themed cake and even more with a Halloween themed cake. The options are endless. How to keep warm during wedding photos?

For a more alternative look why not add a splash of black with a leather jacket. Niamh Design creates amazing designs with your name under the collar. These leather jackets looks super cool and will keep you warm during a autumn wedding. These jackets are prefect to add an edgy look to a Halloween wedding,

Where was the wedding venue?

Thornton Hall in North Yorkshire loves Halloween, it has a trick or treat street during the Halloween weeks and a pumpkin patch for you big Halloween fans. I would say the main draw to this beautiful wedding venue is the amazing views. There’s the option to hold the wedding ceremony outdoors. If October is a little chilly for an outdoor wedding, their ceremony room provides stunning views of the rolling North Yorkshire hills also.

Who was the Wedding photographer

I created the wedding photographer. As a Skipton wedding photographer, I am only 15 minute from Thornton Hall. Halloween inspired weddings are fun and your wedding photography should reflect this. As well as documenting the day and beautiful wedding décor I like to have fun with the bride and groom, so we headed to the pumpkin patch for couple portraits. The photos of them holding the pumpkins are my favourite.
