Here’s something a little different from me. A styled bohemian inspired photoshoot, collaborating with a bunch of very talented ladies in the wedding industry. I try to arrange a styled photoshoot once a year, it’s important to get my creative juices flowing and try out new ideas. As a documentary wedding photographer, I’m very light on posing couples, so it’s always great to play around with creative ideas.
These kinds of photoshoots really are great fun. (I think some snort laughter actually happened) Here’s a quick look behind the scenes at Holmfirth Vinyard.

The Vineyard Venue - February last year greeted us with blues skies and sunshine. We were very lucky to get such great weather for this outdoor styled shoot in the vineyard. Sheveling Wine Estate at Holmfirth Vineyard kindly allowed us to use their onsite apartments to prep our models for the shoot
The Look - Helen at Distinct makeup created natural soft waves for boho bridal hair and a pink theme makeup finish. Mary’s Bridal provided the gorgeous wedding dress. The lace detail and dipped back suited our theme perfectly.
The Boho Theme - Katie from Iziba Flower walls and Faye from Aphelion Events got busy theming the vineyard. As we were shooting in a vineyard with beautiful rolling hills as the backdrop, we wanted to create a romantic boho vibe. We used reds, greens, and creams for the colour palette and added alternative decorations of golds and bronze. We created texture with fringing and macramé. I love the aisle, made with mismatched rugs for the ultimate in boho style
