It’s so nice to meet couples in person after so many video meetings and this time I got to meet the whole family. Selina and Linden wanted to bring their kids along to their engagement photo shoot, and it was so lovely to meet them too.
The benefits of an engagement photo shoot
I always encourage couples to take advantage of my engagement photo shoots that are included in the wedding photography package. It is hugely beneficial. Not only do couples get used to being in front of the camera and get a feel of what to expect on their wedding day in regards to wedding photography. We also get to know each other, so it all feels more comfortable on the big day. It can be beneficial to bring the kids along on an engagement shoot too. The focus isn’t so much on the couple, it’s more like a family photo shoot. Some kids are really shy in front of strangers and cameras, so It’s a little practice and allow me to know what works with the kids. Not to mention you get lots of lovely photos to frame. Win win!
Linden and Selina’s boys didn’t take long to warm up in front of the lens during this photo shoot, allowing me to capture their little personalities. I’m sure they’re going to make excellent page boys on the wedding day. Selina and Linden’s wedding takes place at the popular Yorkshire Dales wedding venue in Skipton, Coniston Hotel next month. I’m certainly looking forward to it.
