Daisy and Jack travelled to Skpton for their engagement photoshoot. knowing these two are an outdoorsy couple, I suggested Skipton castle woods even though we had a little rain.

Skipton Castle Woods: A Picturesque Destination with Historic Charm

Skipton Castle Woods has a long and intriguing history dating back to the Norman era. The woods were originally part of Skipton Castle, a medieval fortress built in the 11th century. Over the centuries, the woods have witnessed countless stories of battles, sieges, and even royal visits.

Engagement photography in Skipton castle woods

Being a Skipton based wedding photographer, these woods are a really great spot for me to suggest for engagement (and family) photoshoot in the Skipton area. It changes with the seasons. It is definitely worth a visit when the wild garlic and bluebells in bloom.

It was so lovely to meet Daisy and Jack in person as we wandered Skipton wood and chatted about their upcoming summer wedding. They have planned for an outdoor wedding ceremony, which I love! Followed by a wedding reception at Matlock outdoor centre.
