Last Christmas, I had the pleasure of photographing Alex and Matt’s Christmas wedding at the renowned Devonshire Arms Hotel in Bolton Abbey. The hotel is central of the Bolton Abbey village in the Yorkshire Dales and only a stones trough away from Bolton Abbey itself (do be aware if you’d like wedding photography at Bolton Abbey Estate, you will have to pay the estate for this. Your Bolton Abbey wedding venue will help you with this) Alex and Matt wanted an none fuss wedding. It was a small intimate day full of love and laughter, mulled wine, sparklers and Christmas crackers.
I love Alex’s two-piece alternative wedding dress. It was super elegant with the top add glamour. Their children looked super cute as page boy and flower girl. Matt was noticeable nervous pre wedding but those nerves soon disappeared after the all important wedding vows, and the rest of the day was enjoyed how they intended - relaxed with their family. I have to say there was definitively a touch of Christmas magic throw in too.
