Wedding planning can be stressful at the best of times. Anyone that has been involved in the wedding planning process knows that, but throw in Covid restrictions, postponements and a house move and the stress is real! Ilkley couple, Ben and Aniella was busy planning their wedding during these challenge. Like most couples they were resilient and changed their plans accordingly. I met them ahead of their wedding when they told me they were happy with a smaller more intimate wedding anyway and their hope were the weather would be kind so most of the wedding reception could be held outdoors.
I always offer to meet with couples before their wedding, whether for a chat or for their engagement photo shoot (engagement photo shoots are included in my wedding photography packages). It’s always beneficial to get to know each other a little pre wedding and feel comfortable in front of the camera.

Their wedding ceremony was held at Ss Peter’s and Paul’s Catholic church in Yeadon before heading to the Timble Inn between Harrogate and Otley for the wedding reception to celebrate. The weather was super kind, perhaps a little too kind with it being one of the hottest days of the year, so the celebrations went ahead as planned with welcome drinks, the speeches and the dancing being held outside on the terrace of Timble Inn. The village of Timble is very quiet and quint and the Timble Inn is a relative small pub that you wouldn’t expect to find a wedding party at on a Saturday afternoon. It is popular for its menu which attracted Aniella and Ben to the venue.

Gemma was our wedding photographer. She took the time to get to know us (both when meeting Gemma beforehand, and at our engagement shoot) so we felt really at ease and comfortable.
