Settle Wedding Photography - Caroline and Gilles

Bringing a splash of summer back here on the blog. I had the best time at this summer wedding in Settle. And why? This Settle wedding venue is an absolutely stunning country house not to mention the immaculate gardens. This is a luxury wedding venue without any of the pretentiousness you might be wary of at such a venue in the Yorkshire Dales. This venue has it all. It has a walled garden, open gardens with lovely views in Settle. It has a coach house as well as the main house and a marquee. What more could you ask for? Well, just a prefect bride and groom to make a wedding, I guess. Caroline and Gilles are two of the loveliest people you could meet and they were surrounded by wonderful guests, their family and friends - it was a day to remember!

I arrived at Taitlands for bridal preparation in the morning. The prep was already is full swing and it wasn't long before all Caroline's bridesmaids arrived and the country house was alive with excitement.

The gorgeous bouquet and button hole flowers was done by Emma at Taitlands.

While the girls was busy sipping prosecco and getting ready. The boys heading to the pub.

I'm usually on the look out for the moment the bride and groom read their letter or open their gift from each other. It's such a sweet moment.

That moment when a dad see's his daughter. It always gets me

The guests got a little carried away with the confetti... I always remind the wedding guests to throw confetti up, not at the newly weds.

After dinner and speeches, we popped out for a few more photos before the sun set. Golden hour photos are so magical and often achieved at a summer wedding.

I always find it strange on my drive home after such a lively day and leaving a party in full swing. My car feels deafeningly quiet. On this occasion I had 'sweet Caroline' by Neil Diamond on repeat in my head (if you were there, you know)

Thank you for having me along for the your day and a big thank you to Kirsten from Kirsten Platt Photography for your great shoot skills.

If you are looking for a wedding photography at Taitlands or in getting married in the Yorkshire Dales, I’d love to hear from you.
