2022 Round up - natural wedding and family photography in the Yorkshire Dales

Yorkshire Dales Wedding and Family Photographer

Here is my yearly roundup of my favourite moments that I captured throughout 2022. I’ve been a wedding photographer for 9 years now and a family photographer a little under. It’s been a long, tough yet incredible journey to get to this point and I think 2022 has been the year I’ve fully relaxed into it. But enough about me, this round up blog is more about you. After all, you are the reason I can continue with me journey as a Yorkshire Wedding and family photographer.

Brides, Grooms and Families

Thank you! I want to thank each and everyone one of you that has stood in front of my camera. From nervous brides and grooms, tipsy wedding guests, screaming babies, grumpy dads and enthusiastic mums… Thank you. You make my job what it is and so much fun. Another thank you to everyone that supports me, whether that be my own cheerleaders, those that recommend me to friends and family, left a review or just interact on social media. that means a lot to me and helps my little business more than you know.

If you haven’t got round to leaving a review yet, here’s the direct link (and you don’t need to have booked me directly) if was in front of my camera drop those 5 stars here

Yorkshire Wedding Venues

I’ve photographed some extremely fun weddings, from alternative weddings at Left Bank in Leeds to colourful weddings at Ossett brewery. I’ve revisited local wedding venues like Coniston Hotel on Skipton and the beautiful Priests House in the shadows of Barden Tower. It was my first time shooting at Swinton Estate in Ripon, which was just beautiful and I had my first ever secret wedding at the Devonshire Fell in Burnsall, which felt pretty special to be part of. Somehow I’ve fitted in 3 styled shoot this year, so I feel I am now an expert at planning and theming weddings. It’s always wonderful to collaborate with like minded wedding suppliers and creating something original. I chose Jervaulx Abbey near Masham for one of these and I’m now praying an engaged couple looking for an alternate wedding finds me. That is my dream wedding venue in north Yorkshire.

Family Photography in North Yorkshire

I’ve always have LOVED photographing families. I’ve had a mixture of small individual families to extended families, in their homes and out on location. I’ve had returning families which is always a joy to revisit and I’ve photographed baby bumps to newborn photoshoots to capture the all important times that are gone in a blink of an eye. One of my favourite shoots was for proposal photography at Skipton Castle. It was very exciting, as I had to turn my stealth mode all the way up.

Now here’s the good bit. These aren’t necessarily my best family or wedding photos of 2022, but they are my favorite photos. Those moments that remind me of the day a or special or fun moment that took place. Enjoy.

I’m not just Yorkshire wedding photographer, I do love to travel too, so if you are looking for a documentary wedding photographer I’d love to hear from you. I don’t travel quite as far for family photoshoots but cover the Yorkshire Dales, West & North Yorkshire. So feel free to get in touch for a non-formal chat

Thank you for stopping by. Did you spot yourself?

With thanks to Kirsten Platt Photography for inviting me along to helping shoot a few weddings with her and Your Story Studios for inviting me along for association photography. It was a joy to work with you.
