Niamh and Jared chose The Old Barn at Esholt to celebrate their wedding — a much-loved wedding venue in West Yorkshire
Once a working 18th-century Yorkshire stone-built barn, it has retained all of its rustic character and timeless charm. With twinkling fairy lights wrapped around the exposed beams and soft drapes cascading from the ceiling, the space creates a warm and romantic atmosphere, perfect for Jared & Niamh’s wedding celebration.
I joined Niamh, her mum, and the bridesmaids at Hollins Hall Hotel for the bridal preparations. They were all remarkably calm and relaxed while hair and makeup were applied. However, beneath the surface, I could sense a quiet undercurrent of nervous excitement building as the big day approached. Niamh had struggled to get through her vows the day pervious at the rehearsal and she worried she would be as emotional on this big day.
Niamh’s mum carefully helped her into her beautiful wedding dress, ensuring every detail was perfect. Just moments later, her bridesmaids and father came to see her looking absolutely stunning and radiant, ready to make her way to the church. I rushed ahead to meet Jared and his best man as they welcomed wedding guests to their wedding ceremony at St John’s Parish in Menston.
After their heartfelt vows and emotional ceremony, it was time to head to the Old Barn at Esholt for the wedding celebrations.
This Old Barn at Esholt is the perfect venue for both intimate gatherings and larger weddings, accommodating up to 120 guests for formal dining. The venue boasts three beautiful garden areas, ideal for mingling and capturing timeless wedding photos. We took a short stroll for some couple portraits before the wedding breakfast and speeches, making the most of the stunning surroundings. One of my favourite moments was when most of the guests joined Jared & Niamh for a fun round at the onsite driving range—a unique touch that made the day even more memorable.
