I met Millie and Tom just one hour before sunset for a golden hour engagement photo session. During this time, the light becomes soft, golden, and incredibly pretty, creating the perfect colours for photographs.

The day began with bridal preparation with Maria’s mum and both their dogs at the Devonshire Fell in Burnsall. It was very quiet and calm, but all that was about to change.

When Lucy and Will booked me as their wedding photographer, I was thrilled to hear they’d chosen a relatively new York wedding venue, so this would be my first time photographing a wedding at Burtonfields Hall in York.

A highlight for me was creating the champagne spray photos, even though Andy did soak us in the process.
